Course and Payment Infomation
To enrol on one of our swimming courses, you must first express your interest by completing the swim school enquiry form or via reception or telephone on 01704 879366. Following this, our team will endeavour to allocate your child with a place on your preferred day and time, If not an alternative will be offered. In the event that there are no vacant places, we will hold your enquiry form on file and will contact you upon availability.
Swim school lessons run continuously throughout the year, with a two week break over the Christmas period. We also allocate each pupil with 1 complimentary lesson per year to compensate for any lessons lost due to summer holidays. Payments for lessons can be made via direct debit or alternatively, courses can be paid by cash or cheque in advance of the course and must be paid in one instalment. DIRECT DEBIT INFO
DD collections will be made by Debit Finance Collection PLC on behalf of Formby pool trust.
DD collections will be taken on the 1st of each month.
Cancellation of your contract must be given in writing to Formby Pool Trust or via email to dd@formbypool.co.uk providing 30 days’ notice.
30 days commences from the date of our direct debit.
Failure to notify us of your intention to cancel will incur an automatic £15.00 default fee from Debit Finance Collections PLC.
Cancellation of the Direct Debit instruction from your bank account without prior notice, will also incur a £10 default fee from Direct Finance Collection PLC.
Default fees issued by Debit Finance Collection PLC are non-negotiable with Formby Pool Trust.
OVERVIEW & COSTS
PARENT & BABY/TODDLER
£33.00 PER MONTH
This is the first step in our journey, laying down the foundations. Sessions are for both parent and baby, are fun in nature and are co-ordinated by an experienced teacher with lots of toys and nursery rhymes.
The objective is to build up the confidence of both the baby in the water as well as the parent’s confidence with their child in the water.
SWIM SCHOOL LESSONS
£33.00 PER MONTH
This is were the journey really takes off as you start the FUNdamental movements skills through stages 1-7 of the NPTS. We offer a free assessment to help determine what level your child is at and away they go!
Children’s lessons operate with ASA qualified instructors, thus ensuring your child’s safety and progression. In addition, class occupancy for stages 1–2 is limited to 8 pupils at any one time.
SWIMMING CLUB
£40.80 PER MONTH
The Club welcomes swimmers looking to swim at a competitive level as well as those wishing to increase fitness and stamina levels. For more details and information please enquire at reception to arrange a club trial.
ROOKIE LIFEGUARD
£33.50 PER MONTH
Rookie is developed in association with the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS). It teaches basic personal survival and lifesaving skills and is split into 3 achievement levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold which are attained throughout the programme.
ADULT & MASTERS
£33.50 PER MONTH
Here at Formby Pool we believe that it is never too late to learn to swim or to improve your strokes and techniques. We offer Adult Swimming Lessons for those who have never learned to swim or aren’t very confident.
Conversely, Masters is designed for those with a good level of swimming ability wishing to improve your technique whilst offering an alternative to gym-based exercise. A combination of interval swimming, stroke definition and a variety of exercises to improve overall technique forms the basis of our Masters class.
1:1 LESSONS
£22.00 PER LESSON
For those not quite ready to join a bigger class, we have individual one to one / two to one classes meaning you or your child will have exclusive tuition from one of our ASA qualified swimming instructors. These premium sessions are sure to accelerate you or your child’s progression, whether it be as a supplement to swim school lessons or as a substitute.
