Urgent Update
Following 10 days’ closure, the facility will reopen on Saturday 15th May 2021, with swimming lessons restarting on Monday 17th May. Please note that all direct debits will be amended in June to account for this period. Upon returning we ask that members continue to adhere to our COVID control measures to ensure that we do everything possible to minimise transmission in the future.
COVID CONTROL MEASURES
- Upon entry all members will be asked to confirm that that they are symptom free. Anyone displaying symptoms must isolate and follow government guidance.
- All visitors, members and employees must scan the QR code to register their visit each time they visit. QR codes are located throughout the building.
- To facilitate effective queue management, the Trust will use a barrier system from the main entrance point of the facility. At the point of entry to the facility 2m spacing markers will direct customers to reception.
- A one-way system will be implemented to help avoid crossing or groups forming within tight spaces. Those attending the gym or studio will exit via the fire exit located in the gym.
- The Trust will operate with contactless payments only, thus eliminating the risk of spread via cash transitions.
- Members attending the gym or classes are asked to change and shower at home. Changing rooms will remain open to enable access to toilet facilities only.
- Capacity limits will continue in all areas of the facility, whilst an advanced booking system for gym or swim visits will allow the team to manage access effectively. Visits will be limited to 1-hour sessions separated by a 15-minute sanitizing period. Members can book their training slots via our online bookings service, email (info@formbypool.co.uk), or telephone (01704879366).
- Selected equipment will be removed or isolated to ensure that minimum distances are maintained within the gym.
- From Monday 17th May, group exercise classes will run with reduced capacity, thus ensuring social distancing is possible for the duration of the session. Participants must ensure they maintain a 2m distance at all times.
- The Trust will use pauses between classes to reduce the potential for overlapping or formation of groups, whilst providing time for employees to sanitize any equipment used.
- At the point when the café reopens, table layout will ensure that there is suitable social distancing.
- The Trust has always had detailed cleaning regimes for all areas of the facility, however this will be amplified with increased frequency that will help reduce risk of transmission.
- The Trust has installed several sanitising stations throughout the facility accompanied by guidance material.
- Prior to re-launch the entire building will undergo a deep clean which will include all H&S related checks.
